I am April Hiller — believer in Jesus, wife to Matt, mom of four, church member, homeschooler, campus ministry writer, intercessor, and student of the Word since 1987. I like hot tea, Diet Coke, Christian fiction, scrapbooking, chocolate, and solitary drives with my own, chosen music playing as loud as I want.
I’m calling myself the Appalachian Disciple, because my journey with Jesus began in one range of the Appalachians and is continuing in another — with some detours in a land of lakes, the Trans-Mexican Volcanic Belt, and Indiana, what seemed to me the flattest place on earth. My faith was birthed and grew in climbing trees, on fallen slabs of rock, and on a porch swing hemmed in on every side by a mountain (with a shoutout to a little country church squeezed between the creek and the incline, as most buildings in the holler are).
